Installation

Note

The Festival Grid companion app is not yet on the F-Droid and Google App stores. Once we leave alpha state they will be submitted.

You can get the latest version of the app directly from the festivalgrid.org homepage.

If you have not done so already, you need to allow installing apps from external sources.

For Android versions from Android 8:

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings.

  2. Go to Security & privacy > More settings.

  3. Tap on Install apps from external sources.

  4. Choose the browser (e.g., Firefox) you want to download the Festival Grid APK file with.

  5. Toggle Allow app installs ON.

For Android versions earlier than Android 8:

  1. Go to your phone’s Settings.

  2. Tap Security.

  3. Under Device administration, toggle Unknown sources ON.

To start the download go to: https://festivalgrid.org/apk

After the file has downloaded you can start the installation process by clicking on the download notification.
